The Celestial Church of Christ Imole Jesu Tan is one of the branches of Celestial Church of Christ worldwide. She was found in January 6th, 2000 by Ass/Venerable Ogundokun Sunday. The church is under Ogun State division. The name of the church was gotten through holy spirit when our father, was working as assistant shepherd in ____ church. He worked diligently, distinctly and outstandingly while was there.
He was fondly called Baba Benji. On this mission God showed him countable visions on how the structure of the church will be and many cautions. Our father in the Lord fasted even till now it is so rare to know a day that he doesn’t fast.
He live a devoted life with fear of God. When he was blessed with the piece of land (as showed by holy spirit), immediately he started propagating the kingdom of God through street evangelism. Despite the fact that the whole Imedu nla was like a forest notwithstanding there was a narrow way that links the church with others two scanty houses in this area.
He was popular because everybody was thinking that people that built church near the road didn’t see members. How would the one that has no structure be able to gather ten people. Even some churches nearby mocked him in this mission. To God be the glory he didn’t look back, he was steadfast and put all trust in God. On counting, before two months, he gathered more than thirty devoted members.
With the help of God almighty, the church started setting blocks so that there can be safety and shed during weather conditions. To God be the glory, the scanty block has became a cathedral today that contains comfortably 160 worshipers with many departments. For examples; Media, Choir, Prophets, elders in altar, women, Youth/teen fellowship, Sunday school fellowship, church workers etc.
